Kelly (Pudwell) Farrugia
Resident of Chatham, Chatham-Kent Region
Kelly grew up in Chatham-Kent and returned after 20 years to live with her husband and four children. Kelly is educated as a nurse and began her nursing career in Toronto at The Hospital for Sick Children. After pursuing further education at Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS, she entered the area of Public Health and is currently the Manager of Clinic Services for the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit. In that position for 10 years, she oversees clinical programs including Sexual Health/STI /Blood Borne Diseases including HIV and Aids as well as Harm Reduction. She is also responsible for the Vaccine Preventable Disease Program and the services of a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner.
Kelly’s interest in Primary Care comes from both a professional perspective as a Registered Nurse and from a personal perspective as user of the health care system.
