Below is a short video from Karen Waddell, Executive Director regarding the Caring Connections program offered by the House of Sophrosyne.



The Caring Connections program provides supports for pregnant and parenting women (parenting children 0-6 years of age) with substance misuse and addiction issues. The 'Nurturing Parenting Programs" aims to improve and strengthen the relationship between mother and child and to improve outcomes for their newborns, infants and children.

The House of Sophrosyne programs focuses on skill-building and coping strategies specifically for parents in recovery. This program is offered in Windsor/Essex, Chatham-Kent, and Sarnia/Lambton on a weekly basis for duration of 13 weeks total (orientation  + 12 sessions). Daycare will be provided as needed. The sessions are also offered as part of their residential program.
