Three hospitals (five sites) in the Erie St. Clair Local Health Integration Network (ESC LHIN) have made history by becoming the first sites outside of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) to start contributing data to the Acute Clinical Data Repository (ACDR) – part of the provincial strategy - ConnectingOntario, an initiative funded by eHealth Ontario through the connecting South West Ontario (cSWO) Program.

The Erie St. Clair Community Care Access Centre (ESC CCAC) has started sharing its client notes through cSWO Program’s Regional Clinical Viewer, further enhancing the value of ClinicalConnectTM to users across south west Ontario. Client notes are captured in the CCAC’s Client Health and Related Information System (CHRIS).

Dr. Steen is one of more than 600 authorized ClinicalConnect users in the Erie St. Clair Local Health Integration Network (ESC LHIN) where the cSWO Program’s delivery partner, TransForm Shared Service Organization (TransForm), is hard at work showing new clinicians how to access the interface every day. The cSWO Program is one of eHealth Ontario’s regional integration initiatives, enabling the province to achieve an electronic health record (EHR) solution for all Ontarians.

We encourage residents to attend our June 25, 2013, Open Board Meeting, where we will be bringing hospice funding considerations to our Board of Directors.

ESC LHIN Senior Director, Health System Design, Ralph Ganter, presented to the Board for a request for one-time funds for Windsor Regional Hospital – Tayfour Campus. The request was for $100,000 to provide additional staffing, physical therapy services, and therapy supplies, a total allocation of $300,000 over two years.
