Community Analysis Tool (CAT)
The Community Analysis Tool is an Excel based reporting tool designed to work with the CAP’s and MSAA budgets to make the quarterly reporting process easier for the Health Service Providers. The CAT will provide you with the following benefits:
- There is no need to search a large document(s) for the column or row to enter your financial or service results. CAT will isolate the columns and rows that are specific to your agency and highlight the cells you need to complete.
- Forecasts are easier to complete and help you make more accurate estimates of your future results. CAT will do all of your forecasts automatically based on the “Forecast Methods” that are inputted for each reporting line or you can enter your own forecasts based on your knowledge of your agencies Revenue and Expenditure patterns..
- Basic edit checks are built into the CAT to help you if you miss entering a key element of the report.
- On the fly help is available for the major components of the reporting tool by clicking on the icons located on many of the reporting screens. Additional help is available through this User Guide and a DVD which illustrates the main tasks required when completing your quarterly report.
- Budgets are loaded directly from your CAP’s submission and the supplemental Schedule E Budget file provided to you by the LHIN.
